Claire Hale

My name is Claire, I manage the People Team, here at Groundwork Greater Nottingham, which includes; Community and Education, Youth and Play, and Local Food. Before my role with groundwork I spent over ten years delivering and managing various services which provided support to local people, including; employment, housing, homelessness young people’s services.

I am proud to be from Nottingham, and believe that we can work together to support vibrant, thriving communities which offer local people real opportunities, and which we can all be proud to be a part of.

Education Officer

Tracey Lloyd

My Name is Tracey and I have worked for Groundwork Greater Nottingham since 2008.

I am heavily involved in community growing projects, and also deliver a variety of other projects including environmental education and heritage projects.

I am particularly interested in working and teaching in the outdoors and within school grounds because I have seen how much this benefits children's understanding and attainment. I have also worked as a Wildlife Watch Officer, School Grounds Practitioner with Learning through Landscapes and as an Eco-Schools Assessor, which have provided great experience for this role, as has my interest in a wide variety of crafts using natural and re-used materials.

Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of our work, and from hoeing and weeding the community gardens to running our blog and twitter feeds, volunteers support every element of what we do, and help us to have a positive impact locally.

We aim to support Nottinghamshire communities to thrive, grow and develop, and we know that local people supporting us with their time, knowledge and skills is key to achieving this vision.
